Read this forum post on how to allocate SSD Windows 11 and go through the one by one step guide to allocate an SSD drive on a Windows 11 computer.
1. Connect your SSD to your PC.
2. Start the disk management.
3. Use the Disk Management panel to locate your SSD.
4. Right-click on an SSD partition you want to format and select Format.
5. From the Format Partition window, select the following options:
a) Choose “exFAT” from the drop-down menu.
b) Leave allocation unit size at default setting.
c) Give your SSD a descriptive name.
6. Choose Format and wait for the process to be completed.
